SeeSomeone is a directory of mental-health professionals in Canada, operated by Roaring Coast Inc. It helps people find professionals. It does not provide therapy, assessment, diagnosis or treatment, and it does not hold clinical or patient health records.

Information about professionals in the directory

Most listings are built from information that professionals and their practices have already published: practice websites, clinic team pages and comparable public professional sources. A listing typically records a name, profession, practice affiliation, location, and a link back to the source it came from.

Where a source does not state something, we record it as unknown rather than guessing. We do not infer how somebody delivers care from their address, and we do not infer where somebody works from their registration.

A professional can claim their listing, correct it, add to it, or ask for it to be removed. See the FAQ for how.

Professional accounts

A professional who creates an account gives us an email address and a password, and may submit profile information including a photograph, practice details, fees, availability and areas of focus. Information a professional supplies is recorded as provider-supplied and kept distinguishable from information taken from a public source.

Applications include registration details, which are used to check that somebody is entitled to the professional title they claim.

People using the directory to find care

You do not need an account to search. We do not ask who you are, and we do not build a profile of you. We do not log the text of searches against an identity, and we do not use search activity to target advertising at you.

Cookies, local storage and consent

Necessary cookies keep a signed-in professional signed in, protect against cross-site request forgery, and remember your cookie choice itself. These cannot be switched off, and none of them profiles you.

Analytics and advertising technologies are optional and are off until you accept them. Nothing in those categories loads before you choose. You can change your mind at any time using the Cookie settings link in the footer.

Service providers we rely on

  • Supabase for the database and authentication.
  • Vercel for hosting and application delivery.
  • Stripe for Premium subscription billing. Card details are entered on Stripe’s own pages. We never see or store a card number; we store the identifiers Stripe gives us for a customer and a subscription.
  • Transactional email for account confirmation and similar messages.
  • Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager, and advertising measurement technologies, only where you have consented.

Some of these providers process information outside Canada.

How long we keep things

Directory listings are kept while the listing is current. Account and application records are kept while the account exists and for a period afterwards for audit and dispute purposes. Billing records are kept as long as required for financial record-keeping. Consent choices are kept in your own browser until you change or clear them.

Access, correction and deletion

You can ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Professionals can do much of this directly from their dashboard. For anything else, write to hello@seesomeone.ca and tell us what you are asking for and how to reach you.

Security

Access to the database is restricted by row-level security rules, and administrative functions are limited to specific accounts. We take reasonable measures to protect information. No service can promise that data is perfectly secure, and this policy does not make that promise.

Children

SeeSomeone is intended for adults looking for care, and for professionals. It is not directed at children.

Changes

If this policy changes materially we will update the date above. If the change affects what you consented to, we will ask again.
