About
Finding a list isn’t the same as finding someone who can see you.
SeeSomeone helps people in Canada find a mental-health professional based on fit and current availability, not just on who happens to be listed.
Why SeeSomeone exists
Directories are good at telling you who exists. They are much worse at telling you whether a given professional is a reasonable match for what you are dealing with, and whether they have room to take you on.
That gap is where most of the effort goes: working through a list, making calls, leaving messages, and finding out one at a time who is full. SeeSomeone moves that information to the front, before you spend the effort.
The difference
What we’re trying to improve
- Fit
- What someone works with, how they work, and who they work with.
- Location
- Where they practise, and whether they see people in person, virtually, or both.
- Practice information
- Fees, languages, and how to get in touch, kept by the provider.
- Current availability
- Whether they are taking new clients right now.
- When it was last updated
- The date attached to that answer, shown plainly.
Where the information comes from
Many professionals maintain their own profile: they describe their practice, set their fees and contact details, and keep their availability current.
Others we list with the basics we can stand behind, and they can take their profile over whenever they like. Either way a profile shows the information available for that professional. When registration information is available, we show where it came from and link to the official register when that link is available.
Coverage
Across Canada
SeeSomeone is a Canada-wide directory. Search by city or surrounding area to see mental-health professionals with information available in that area.
Coverage varies by area, and each profile reflects the information available for that professional.
